Leading for Children (“we”, “us” and “our”) operates this website and any content made available from or through the website, including any subdomains thereof (the “Site”), and the services offered on or in relation to the Sites (the “Services”). This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes what information we collect from our users, how we use it, with whom we share it, and how you can control how your information is used. We collect no personal information about you when you visit the Site unless you choose to provide that information to us. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy. We are committed to respecting your privacy and seek to protect it.

By visiting the Site, or by using one of the Services, you are accepting the practices described in this Policy. We may amend this Policy at any time; if we make changes to this Policy, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.   1. Collecting Information
    We collect information from you when you register on our Site or if you contact us through the Site. When registering on our Site, you may be asked to provide such information such as your name, email address, organization, and title. By registering with us you agree that we may send you emails and other communications from time-to-time regarding information specific to our Service(s) or other opportunities we may provide.

We may use a third-party payment service, such as PayPal, to collect donations and/or process payment for purchases made through the Site. If you make a purchase through the Site, you will be directed to a website hosted by PayPal and not by Leading for Children. Any information that you provide through the PayPal site will be subject to PayPal’s privacy policy.

  1. Use of the information
    We may use your information for any lawful business purpose, including, but not limited to, corresponding with you, responding to your questions, providing announcements, notifying you about website maintenance, updates, and new features, offering or furnishing services, personalizing the types of information you receive from us, personalizing your experience, developing content and functionality that helps us better serve your needs, improving the services we provide.
  2. Sharing of the Information
    Further, in order to maintain our website, to manage our database, to distribute e-mails and to provide communications, we may use selected third parties (for example, Mailchimp, Google Apps, Evite and/or Google Cloud). As necessary, the personal data you choose to provide to us may be processed and/or stored by these third parties, solely on Leading for Children’s behalf. These third parties are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for any other purpose. Please review third party websites’ for their privacy policies. We do not otherwise sell, trade, or otherwise share your information with any unaffiliated third party except to the extent you have voluntarily agreed, or are clearly notified of and consent to by using the Service. We may also release your information when it is necessary to comply with applicable legal requirements or protect ours or other’s rights, property, or safety.
  3. Third Party Sites.
    Our Site may provide links to third party websites and resources.  Such links are provided as a convenience to you and for informational purposes only.  We are not responsible for and cannot control these third party websites and resources, do not endorse them, and are not responsible for their availability, content, or delivery of services.  Third party websites and resources are not bound by this Policy; they may have their own policies or none at all. We encourage you to read such other third party websites’ privacy policies.
  4. Delete/deactivate policy
    Users may unsubscribe to any or all of our email communications at any time by following the instructions contained at the end of every email we send. If you no longer wish to use any services or receive any information from us, you may request to have your personal information removed from our databases by sending a request via e-mail (info@leadingforchildren.org), including your first and last names and e-mail address with which you originally registered. Changes or corrections to your information may be submitted in the same fashion.
  5. Children’s Privacy
    While we are a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization exempt from compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”), we encourage parents and guardians to review in advance our privacy policy which describes the information we collect and our disclosure practices. The Website and Services are designed and intended for use by adults. We do not collect personally identifiable information from any person we know is under the age of 18.

    We use commercially reasonable security measures to protect and secure your personal information. However, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you disclose online.  We do not make any warranty, express, implied or otherwise, that we will be able to prevent loss, misuse, unauthorized access to, or alteration of information you provide to us.  You make any disclosure of information to us at your own risk.  We urge you to take every precaution to protect your information when you are on the internet, including when visiting the Site.
